The Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) is not just about Kubernetes and container orchestration; it is deeply committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive (DEI) environment. The foundation recognizes that a vibrant community relies on welcoming individuals from all backgrounds.

The Linux Foundation (LF) is a massive umbrella for many of the world’s most critical open source projects, including OpenStack (now supported under the OpenInfra Foundation which collaborates closely with LF ideals). Both entities understand that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are not optional add-ons but essential components for innovation and sustainability.

The Open Infrastructure Foundation (OIF) has made Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) a cornerstone of its mission. Understanding that building the next generation of infrastructure requires the perspectives of a global and varied community, the foundation has established robust frameworks to ensure everyone has a seat at the table.

Open source software powers the modern world, but the communities creating it often do not reflect the diversity of its global user base. For Latin America (LatAm), Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives within foundations like CNCF, Linux Foundation, and OpenInfra are not just buzzwords—they are essential lifelines for technological growth and regional relevance.
